Costume Parade Disaster/Trick-or-Treating

Well, everybody else thought that the kids' homemade electronics costumes were fantastic, except for one mean kid who told Nate his laptop computer was stupid and sent him sobbing through the entire costume parade at school! He was so upset that he was making exlamations such as "I want to go home now!" and " I wish I had never been born!" and then broke out into a bloody nose during the parade to top the whole thing off.

Post-Marathon, the Jacobs kids came over for trick-or-treating but most homes had closed up shop by the time we ate and got the kids out 7:30, so they were a bit disappointed in the smaller candy stash they acquired this year. Mom, of course, was fine with this since they will never see most of that candy again anyways!

Halloween Pumpkins

My little pumpkins carved their pumpkins, another spider web this year and a face. They've been enjoying the toasted the pumpkin seeds in their lunch all week.

Happy Bday to me!

Dave took me to see my first Cirque du Soleil performance of "OVO" at the National Harbor. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Spellbinding! Riveting! That's the best way I can describe it!

Road trip to South Carolina

We had to take the kids to "SOUTH OF THE BORDER" on the way down south - this tacky, famous junk stop was a nice little break on our drive to South Carolina to the Santa Rita family reunion.

2010 Summer: Sabrina at Summer Camp

Sabrina went away for a week at summer camp at Mt. Aetna with her friend Dani, who came all the way from Guam. The girls started planning this 3 years ago when we were at family camp together at Camp Au Sable in Michigan.Nate was so sad to see his Sissy go, and kept asking when she was coming home all week long. It was a nice reunion on Sunday when we picked her up, though she's missing her new friends and counselors today!

2010 June: Swim Class

What a difference a year makes! Nate took swim classes for a week and made a lot of progress as his fear seems to have vanished since last summer. He woke up early every morning, put his bathing suit on right away, and couldn't wait to get to class.

Father's Day 2010

Father's Day started out with our traditional breakfast in bed, then we met up with the Woosters in Rockville at the FIRST WATCH cafe for breakfast. After that, we headed to Hagerstown to take Sabrina to summer camp for the week.
