After his recent health scare, Dave decided to fulfill a dream and signed up to run the Marine Corp Marathon this fall as motivation to run regularly. On Sunday, we went to the C&O canal in Brunswick, Md where Dave & Monty ran about 7 miles (the kids biked and the moms walked). It was good for the whole family to get out and get some exercise! Afterward, we stopped Dave's cousin's house - she and her husband just recently acquired 2 miniature ponies, then discovered they were both pregnant! The babies were born about a week apart, and are as cute as can be. Then the kids launched a rocket a few times and wondered what other adventures were to be had at the farm. Life is good in the country!

Sunday Canoe Trip on Lake Linganore & Linganore Creek
On Sunday we took the canoe out again, this time the Jacobs joined us as we headed under the bridge and followed Lake Linganore until it became Linganore Creek and we could go no further. We counted over 70 turtles sunning themselves on our journey! Then the kids played in the lake for a bit before we headed to the Jacobs for a campfire supper. Great day!

Saturday with Faehners & Smiths
Saturday we got together with the Faehner family for lunch (kids enjoyed the stir-fry tableside show at Sakura), then hung out until dinner where we met up with the Smith family for Mexican food in Bethesda.

Easter Sunday
Easter weekend was spent with our family visiting from California - Dad's bro Uncle Burton, Auntie Lena, Zach & Andrew Brion (Cali surfer dudes). They were in NYC for Spring Break and popped down for a visit for the weekend. On Sunday, we went to church close by (DRCC) and then our local cousins came over to spend the afternoon with us - Jeff & Jen Santa Rita (kids Max, Bella & Dan) and Dana, Hunter & Brittany (home from college at Eastern Univ.) We had lunch, an egg hunt, and then the guys went fishing. Great day!

We (heart) Dave

Some strange symptoms (determined to likely have been a pinched nerve), landed my man in the hospital for 2 days due to his family history of heart problems. A lot of tests and waiting and visitors but all good reports, so we are thankful for that!
Pictured: Visitors Marty, Chad, Pastor/Friend Kumar and the Jacobs visted along with the whole Wooster family hanging out for 2 days. Using his hospital supplies which included a comb for his "hair". In the ER texting on his Blackberry - still addicted to the crackberry! We stopped by the Capital Grille on the way home for a work/company dinner, where he willingly yet sadly avoided the steak. And, answering the often asked question "So what are you wearing under that hospital gown ? The answer is: BOXERS!
Spring is here!
Our maiden voyage on the new canoe on one of our first warm, spring days here in Maryland a few weeks ago.

Sunday Stroll on the Monocacy River
Dave and the kids (along with our neighbors Frank & Logan), took an 8-mile Sunday stroll down the Monocacy River which they caught right here down by the dam. The kids were troupers (Sabrina was a paddler) and enjoyed navigating the trees and debris following all the storms and rain we had that week - they even had little pockets of "white water" for some added fun. I picked them all up at a park in Frederick where they had docked.

EGGSperimenting with EGGS
For my weekly Thursday visit to Sabrina's class, I didn't have to stuff take-home foleders today! Instead, I boiled 48 eggs and helped get the kids set up for their EGGSperiment - the project was to see which method produced the brightest colored eggs: Water, vinegar or lemon juice. VINEGAR was the winner! It was a fun little break in the routine on their last day of school before their 2 day spring break (lost the rest due to all the snow days we had!)
