Lunch at Collette's

Collette invited us over to their home near Hagerstown for the boys to play (see how they love each other). Of course she prepared a fabulous lunch for us which I thoroughly enjoyed, and we got to catch up a bit.

Since she started preschool, Daddy has always stayed home to make Sabrina a pancake breakfast on her first day of school and to see her off. Nate is sad to see his Sissy go, but he'll start preschool next week.

By the time the Cruz family was ready to go home, it was well after midnight, and the kids were having such a good time together that they ended up staying for a sleepover. On Sunday, we hung out at the pool for a little bit before they headed home.

After hanging out at the beach for a while, we came back to our place for dinner/campfire cookout. The kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.

Is summer really over?

We spent a lot of time at the pool and lake this summer, can summer really be almost over? Sabrina starts school on Monday and I, for one, am devastated!

My dad was in town on business and got to have a sleepover and lunch at Macaroni Grill before he flew home.

We spent a day down in Southern Maryland with Dave's parents and sister out on the boat on the Patuxent River. Dave got some skiing in, and we got to swim and have a nice picnic.

DAY at the LAKE

Nate was sick during the week with a fever, rash and mouth sores from hand-foot-mouth disease and after being couped up for a few days, was ready to get outside. We spent a whole day at the lake from 11:00-7:00 p.m. just playing, relaxing, and even napping! It's just what the doctor ordered - for all of us.
